The Role

As a Firmware Developer, you will be responsible for the software for our IIoT devices delivering the data for predictive maintenance and empowering the railway industry to operate at the highest availability possible. Currently, we are building a new in-house development team for the next generation of our devices, and for the further maintenance of our market-proven product. Therefore, we hire Firmware Developers on all levels from experienced senior to junior. That is why we are very open to adjust your tasks and responsibilities to your skills. Your Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the firmware for the next generation of our IIoT devices for the railway industry and maintain the existing system

  • Setup and maintain the development platform for the embedded system enabling configuration management, continuous integration, and automated system testing

  • Develop software for our IIoT devices from prototype to series production

  • Support in validating and testing of new hardware

Your Profile

  • Senior: 5-10 years of relevant experience in firmware development, preferably with experience in IIoT devices

  • Junior: minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in firmware development

  • You have advanced experience with programming language C/C++ for embedded systems

  • You are used to develop with a procedural and object-orientated design

  • You have experience with embedded Linux systems and at least basic knowledge about RTOS

  • You are familiar with communication protocols on different layers, especially wireless communication

  • You know the basics of electronics and measuring technologies

  • You are used to work in teams and are able to work using agile methodologies

  • You have full working proficiency in English

Don't Apply If

  • You have not programmed for at least 2 years with C/C++ for microcontrollers

  • You have never used object-orientated designs for embedded systems

  • You have never used a Linux system
