The Role

As a (Junior) Product Owner at KONUX, you will be at the heart of agile software development for a highly innovative IIoT solution in the field of predictive maintenance. You will act as a key interface between a development team and its stakeholders. This includes collecting requirements, communicating them to the team, refining user stories and helping to manage the backlog. Through close collaboration with very experienced professionals and mentoring by a senior product owner, you will have plenty of opportunities to learn and grow in the role. Over time you will take on more and more responsibilities, e.g. making sure that requirements are being developed effectively, aligning with other development teams and helping guide and structure our agile development efforts. With an agile and forward-facing approach, you will make a difference to our future products and contribute to KONUX’ vision: Transform railway operations for a sustainable future.

Your Responsibilities

  • Being an active part of a SCRUM team of experienced professionals from multiple disciplines to ensure that we build the best possible product and systems
  • Writing of  user stories, making sure they are clear and understood
  • Owning a clearly prioritized, estimated and well-specified backlog in collaboration with the senior product owner and other stakeholders
  • Being available for the team to answer questions and clarify user needs; verifying that the outcome delivers the value agreed
  • Proactively communicating the plan as well as any issues and changes to the stakeholders, and identifying when to ask for help in order to achieve the goal
  • Supporting the senior product owner in managing and prioritizing the company backlogs 
  • Taking ownership of an area within the product portfolio and directly contributing to the company success

Your Profile

  • You have a degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience working in or in close contact with a professional SCRUM team. Experience with Jira/Confluence is a bonus
  • You have a good understanding of how software development works, and are interested in how technology can help solve problems more than in the technology itself
  • You are familiar and believe in the values of the Agile manifesto, and focus on delivering the highest value to the customer in iterative steps
  • You have a growth mindset and are open to change your mind and adapt to new circumstances when new information arises
  • You are able to challenge ideas and processes in a constructive way and focus on the problem solving
  • You are able to communicate effectively with people across roles and departments, including fluency in English (spoken and written).
