As the IIoT Hardware Project Manager, you will be responsible for controlling the interdisciplinary development of the KONUX IIoT sensor systems, including everything from development to delivery of the final series product in time and quality, supported by an internal team and external partners. You are comfortable with managing hardware and firmware development with agile processes. You will gain a detailed understanding of the hardware and firmware development, test scope, and dependencies to backend and analytics teams. You foresee obstacles and see it as your mission to clear the path for the team to deliver quality products beating ambitious timelines.
Manage interdisciplinary design and development project for our sensor systems including firmware, electronics and mechanicals
Organize and facilitate the preparation of the development backlog in coordination with the stakeholders and engineers to set the right priorities
Manage external development partners working with agile processes and keep the timelines synchronized and on target with KONUX goals
Create detailed, ambitious project schedules for the hardware to see all interdependencies for every deliverable and milestone
Manage contract manufacturer together with our supply chain manager to ensure SOP in time
Identify critical path tasks in the schedule and ensure any issue gets resolved in time, raise visibility on any deviation from plan early
Challenge, inspire and motivate team and partners to deliver on plans
Grasp complex technical topics, identify, document and track key issues and risks
Degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant field
5+ years working experience in a technical development environment and 2 years project leadership experience
Fluent in English and German
Extensive knowledge in Project Management tools, Agile development, JIRA
Experience in technical cross-team coordination with internal team and external partners; ability to identify and track complex dependencies; experience in working with a wide variety of people and personalities in a distributed team
Experience in embedded systems, industrial hardware systems
Strong system-level thinking
Flexibility and willingness to handle pressure in ensuring client deliveries are on time, within budget, and meet identified specifications
