The Role

One day you wear a suit and convince high-level executives, the next day you get your hands dirty and help the engineers. Being part of our business development department is about researching current and future needs of customers and adjusting them with our engineers. You will have to think many steps ahead to spot industry trends – also those that not even industry experts have realized. Working in BD will ultimately give you the broadest perspective of what is happening in our company. Therefore, it is essential that you combine an interest in hardware and software engineering with your ability to research and implement scalable solutions. You learn and adapt quickly and will be able to use every tool at their disposal – market reports, industry fairs, and customer contact, in order to understand and effectively tackle hard problems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Advance application and market knowledge through intensive exchange with external partners and customers
  • Exploit new application fields for our technology and evaluate the profitability
  • Develop innovative solutions with respect to the linking of sensors with software and cloud solutions
  • Set up a network consisting of IIOT / Industry 4.0 players and represent KONUX at events
  • Identify new business models for the commercialization of our sensor technology in cooperation with customers
  • Create market analyzes and identify problems
  • Recognize growth opportunities to expand the customer network

Your Profile

  • You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and desire to drive our business and company success forward
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast growing environment, ideally gained in a startup or consultancy
  • Willingness and courage to implement innovations within a traditional industry
  • BS/MS in Business, Engineering or related field
  • Experience in Business Development as well as experienced to acquire new customers and markets
  • You have strong negotiating skills and a confident manner
  • You desire to make own decisions and you have a hands-on mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in German and English
