The Role

We are looking for talented and bold engineering interns who love to design, calculate, simulate, draw manufacturable parts and assemblies and support our team in every possible way. Ideal candidates adapt quickly, are seeking to be challenged by their work and are able to handle multiple projects at once without losing the big picture. KONUX engineers appreciate the variety of their daily work day and have one common goal to integrate all results into a physical product that fulfills multiple but contradicting demands. Your Responsibilities

  • Develop new product concepts, starting from the specific design of new products through the creation of detailed drawings from 3D models for the manufacturing of components and assemblies
  • Integrate your design with the rest of product functions including electronics and software
  • Creation and testing of our prototypes as well as documentation
  • Interface with manufacturing engineering to analyze manufacturing issues and determine the root cause of the issues
  • Responsible for analysis, prototype and preliminary product testing and review efforts
  • Optimization of costs in connection with possible manufacturing methods

Required skills and experience

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar field
  • first experience in designing products, preferably in the sensor industry
  • Proficiency with CAD modeling, assembly and detailing (experience with SolidWorks is a plus)
  • Experience in the design and packaging of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of high volume production designs/design for manufacturability
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding specifications, data sheets and other technical documents

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Experience packaging optical components
