Senior Validation Engineer (m/f/x) for Embedded Systems

As a Snr. Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the embedded software development team by promoting a healthy testing and validation culture.

Your Responsibilities

Act as the gatekeeper and release manager for the regular firmware releases across multiple products.
Be part of the analysis and breakdown of requirements to define acceptance criteria and develop the necessary tests to prove their correct implementation.
Work with the other department’s QA and QC engineers to define the device test methodologies, as well as end-to-end validation of our various technologies.
Define and maintain the continuous integration’s quality gates and the infrastructure they rely upon together with the hardware and lab engineers
Plan, develop and execute embedded software test campaigns from unit tests and soft emulation to hardware in the loop automation.
Support the hardware team (design and validation) with deep technical insights and test methodologies during the different phases of the device life cycle.
Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Analyze test results to ensure correct functionality, determine root causes of failures and recommend corrective action. Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Support in validating and testing of hardware and prototypes

Your Profile

5-10 years of relevant experience in firmware quality validation, preferably with experience in IIoT device
You have proven experience with programming language C/C++; experience with Python would be very beneficial
You have advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design for embedded software development
You are used to developing with a procedural and object-oriented design
You are motivated to develop, review and implement test plans and automated system tests.
You are used to working in teams and are able to work using agile methodologies
You have full working proficiency in English

Don't Apply If

You do not have at least 5 years experience in software validation or testing.
You have proven experience with language C/C++ and object-oriented design
