The Role

As our management accountant, you will have the unique opportunity to work in a fast-growing startup which operates across multiple locations. One of your projects will be to help set up our in-house accounting. You will have the opportunity to shape this as well as many other interesting projects together with our existing finance and accounting team. Ideal candidates adapt quickly to new environments, want to be challenged by their work and are able to handle multiple tasks at once without losing the big picture. Your Responsibilities

  • Support the Accounting insourcing project

  • Lead the accounting in the accounts receivable, accounts payable and GL account areas

  • Ensure the execution and verification of incoming and outgoing payments

  • Take care of the account reconciliation and account analysis

  • Own the monthly, quarterly and yearly period closing and statement preparation based on HGB

  • Ensure a high level of quality, excellence and ongoing optimization of accounting-related administrative and operative processes

  • Work in close cooperation with controlling to ensure high quality and in-time budgeting, planning and reporting within tight deadlines

  • Coordinate the communication with external service providers on financial, tax and payroll related topics

Your Profile

  • You are a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter/in)

  • 4-8 years of work experience in accounting in a fast-growing company, ideally in an industrial environment

  • Very good knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and Tax; US GAAP is a plus

  • Experience working with an ERP System (preferably MS Business Central), with DATEV, and with MS-Office or Google G Suite

  • Strong teamwork, precise and structured working style with high accountability for everything you do

  • Full working proficiency in English and German
